Reimagining Employability: designed and launched in 2016 is an incubator program supporting students and emerging and young entrepreneurs to build the skills and resilience needed for business growth. The program supports youth and students empowerment and economic self-reliance actions across Liberia with a focus on youth unemployment.
v Impact of Reimagining Employability
v We trained and supported 800 high school students from 50 high schools in entrepreneurship and social business model development and hosted 5 editions of pitch competitions, and 20% of these businesses expanded across the agribusiness, African fashion, and design sectors with established customer and sales channels
v We trained 100 university and community college students trained in Tech Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprising for nine months; 69 trainees completed and received Diplomas in Tech Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprising and seen more than 20% of these businesses expand.
v We trained, inspired and supported over 5,000 university students with various entrepreneurial and technological skills. We have facilitated the development of over 50 business solutions and seen more than 15% of these businesses expand.
v 3 winners travelled to the United States and participated the global competition
v 3 exceptional Alumnae were sponsored by UNDP Liberia and participated in the Youthconnek Africa Summit in Kigali, Rwanda in 2019.
v 35 Alumni of the High School Entrepreneurship Program have used the skills and gained admissions at top universities through YONER in Rwanda, India and Europe pursuing various academic fields relevant to Liberia’s economic growth and development
v 2 Alumnae selected for SHE-CAN full scholarships to the USA
