A Colorful #CHERIO in honor of Masawo K. Jallah!!

Last evening at a well-designed colorful ##CHEERIO we (YONER Liberia) were excited to honor and celebrate one of our teammates, Masawo K. Jallah. Masawo has secured an opportunity to pursue master’s in Economics in Abuja, Nigeria. In addition, our team had worked and supported her in securing a “Service Contract” with ECOWAS in Abuja, to work full time while schooling.

Over the past 5 years, Masawo supported our work at YONER Liberia in different roles ranging from being a volunteer, program associate and Director of Administration, HR and Finance Associate.

November 2019 to August 2021, she served as Director of Administration, HR and Finance Associate. In this role, she innovatively worked and supported our rebranding process and ensured that we had a well-functional administrative procedures, financial management, and accounting and HR record. Based on her innovation, we were able to hire the right and sizable team passionate, committed and dedicated to our new vision and mission for Liberia and Liberian youth.

In addition, Masawo, as a key player on our team, was very instrumental in designing, launching and implementing our International Study Program in 2020; an innovation intentionally designed to promote and advance international higher education among young Liberians. With her administrative leadership role, we have been able to recruit, admit and facilitate the successful travel of 112 young Liberians including 52 young women pursuing their undergraduate and masters at various universities in Africa, India, Eastern Europe and the United States of America on full-ride and partial scholarships.

These milestones wouldn’t have been achieved had we not had an innovator, a changemaker and a transformational leader in Masawo on our team as one of the key drivers.

We are super excited for her feats, and wish her God’s favor and blessings as she takes on another bigger step in her professional life.

Congratulations! We will miss you; our “Mother” as you were affectionately called!!

Aspiration Goal

Aspire to equip 100,000 young people with employable entrepreneurial and technological skills and tools, facilitate the creation of 100 small and medium size enterprises and create 20,000 QUALITY JOBS by 2031.
