LEA is a six-month in-depth entrepreneurial and technological academy, known as “Liberia Entrepreneurship Academy” aims to

1) annually recruit and train 100 entrepreneurial-driven high school graduates and/or current college students/graduates to crowdsolve some of Liberia’s most pressing challenges through entrepreneurship and innovation;

2) “The Grind” – twice a monthly entrepreneur -directed live television programs exploring entrepreneur activities, hold twice a month a new TV series student-directed live television programs exploring and promoting entrepreneurship and technology in Liberia as well as encouraging young people to get involved and utilize the opportunities available to create change in Liberia,

3) conduct bi-weekly radio programs exploring the same themes; and

4) host monthly Entrepreneurial and technology Meet-up.

Recruits for LEA go through intensive training and working sessions designed to improve their entrepreneurial skills in market research, customer discovery survey, business plan development, resource mobilization, and pitching.  In addition, Fellows will hone other essential IT skills. The purpose of the training and working sessions is in two folds:

  1. a) to equip aspiring/emerging entrepreneurs and innovators with the tools and knowledge needed to identify existing problems and develop solutions and approaches to solve the problems from startup, registration and launching; and
  2. b) to provide existing entrepreneurs with the skills needed to improve the efficiency of their business operations to achieve quality products and services.
