Reimagining Agriculture & Agribusiness: Designed and launched in 2018 seeks to promote and scale-up sustainable agriculture livelihood (food and nutrition resilience) and agribusiness entrepreneurship in Liberia in order to make available healthier and more assorted food, while promoting the consumption of a balanced diet.  Also known as ‘Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for agriculture development” (EIE4AD) seeks to improve Food security in Liberia by promoting sustainable agriculture education, innovation and entrepreneurship (Education, Innovation and Entrepreneurship for agriculture development – EIE4AD).

Program Objective: Knowledge, and positive attitudes and behavior around agriculture is increased. Sustainable agriculture and nutrition innovations harvested and supported to develop into agribusiness ventures. Post-harvest, and food preservation techniques introduced and storage facilities developed as well as county level sustainable agriculture and nutrition committees established and functioning independently.

Impact of Reimagining Agriculture & Agribusiness

v  Received and managing US$86,000 in grant from the European Union under the “Prosperous Agricultural Roadmap to Nutrition and Entrepreneurship, Reinforcing Sustainability” (PARTNERS) Programme currently being implemented by a consortium of four INGOs (Concern Worldwide, SPARK, ZOA & Welthungerhilfe).

v  Trained and supported 360 Mother Groups (MGs) and Small Holder Farmers (SHFs) and Village Savings and Loans Association (VSLA) members selected from 30 communities in District #3 of Grand Bassa County.
